Lynchburg Roofing is once again partnering with the ‘No Roof Left Behind’ initiative to provide a new roof for a deserving family in Lynchburg, but this year they are accepting nominations from Roanoke as well. Nominations are accepted February 22nd through March 31st, 2016.

Owner, Chris Good, had this to say about the program, “The ‘No Roof Left Behind’ initiative is more than just an opportunity to give back to the community that has given so much to us. It is also giving someone a quality shelter they can call home.”

Anyone can participate by nominating themselves, a friend, neighbor or family member who owns a house and is in need of a new roof. The first step is to nominate a deserving family by completing the form.

“I don’t have enough words to tell you how grateful I am,” said Ella Arthur, the 2015 No Roof Left Behind winner, who received her new roof after being nominated by a friend, chosen as a finalist and then received the most number or votes from the community. “It means more to me than anything. It’s nice to know there are people out there that care.”

Nominees must own the home they are living in and be located in Lynchburg, Roanoke, and surrounding territories in Virginia. The roof recipient must also be current on his or her mortgage payments.

The submissions will be reviewed, from April 1st to 10th, by a team of local volunteers and four nominees will be selected as finalists. From April 11th to 30th the public will be able to vote for one of the finalists they feel is most deserving. The winner will be revealed May 5th of this year.
